    CHECK LIST FOR BOATER'S
  • When did my impeller pump last get replaced? Heavy use every year - Moderate use every two years
  • If you have every run dry or on a sand bar you should definitely change your impeller pump
  • When was my drive last re-sealed and pressure checked for oil and water leakage?
  • Power trim cylinder check for continuity and leakage for water or oil
  • Propeller run out check (done to check if shaft is bent out of limitations from manufacturer)
  • U-joint and input shaft seal replacement (done to keep oil inside drive and not in your bilge)
  • Drive gear product improvement kit (check to see if your manufacturer has come out with any product
  • Improvement kits that enhance the performance of your drive system such as shifting and longer lifespan
  • Charging system service (done to prevent corrosion and alternators from not working so you don't get stuck. waiting for Sea tow) - Starter and battery cable replacement (done to keep you boat star table at all times)
  • Ignition system service (replacement and upgrade of cap, rotor, plugs, wires, pickup sensor and coil Done to keep your engine firing on all cylinders and having your best fuel economy.
  • Carburetor rebuild (done to clean out and restore original fuel delivery and clean out all the impurities that your fi1ter doesn't normally fi1ter out.)
  • Valve adjustments (done every 250 hours to keep your engine running smooth and efficient)
  • Belt replacements (done to keep cooling pumps, power steering. and charging systems operating)
  • Compression check (done to detect internal engine problems before they are catastrophic)
  • Bellows check (normally done every five years to prevent accidental tearing or water from flooding into your boat)
  • Shift cable replacement (keeps your drive shifting smooth and going all the way in gear to prevent lower or upper unit damage from happening)
  • Exhaust manifold and elbow replacement (done every 10 years to prevent rust inside your manifold's water jacket frm totally closing off your cooling water escape capability)
  • Electrical systems (done to make sure all of your ship systems are operating correctly such as ale, bilge pumps, water systems, pumps, lights, etc. are all working properly.
  • Oil pressure check (done to make sure that your engine is putting out the correct oil pressure to help detect possible problems before engine failure is at your doorstep)
  • Propeller reconditioning (done to prevent premature hub spinout and ensure proper balance during operation)
  • Power trim pump service (done to keep your power trim pump working consistslant1y)

    This list is a good start to making sure your boat is running properly for the upcoming season and not waiting for repairs in the spring while everyone is enjoying their time on the water!
